I have been testing the Anolon Nouvelle Copper 3-qt covered casserole for a few weeks now.

The Cons:
- It is not dishwasher safe, but it does clean up easily.
- The side handles are a little too close to the cookware. When I try to hold it by 1 handle and pour the contents into a strainer or scoop out contents, my knuckles rub on the hot anodized aluminum exterior. Ouch. I did find ways to avoid this.

The Good:
- As I mentioned above, it is easy to clean by hand.
- The rivet covers do help make it appear like a perfectly smooth interior and it does present less surface area for food to get stuck in.
- The copper heats very well on the bottom and once heated, it does not take much at all to keep it hot.
- I love the size of this dish. It's great for a 1-pot meal for 1 or 2 people or a good sized side dish for a larger family.
- VERY flat bottom is wonderful on my flat top stove.
- The anodized aluminum sides surround food with a complete heating environment.

I am very pleased with this cookware and recommend it. This piece is fantastic, and I'm sure, based on my experiences with this one, the others are winners also. Anolon makes very good and solid cookware. Nouvelle copper is another winner.

I thought I had found that The Set of Storage for me; however, I just discovered a chip on the top of one of these and in the trash it went, top and bottom. I cannot tell anyone how sad that is but with such a short use period I certainly did not expect such poor performance. In looking back I cannot find anyone or reason for what happened except a manufacturing fault from the factory. Oh, well. I'll keep on looking.

I have had these for a while and honestly enjoy using them. No cracks in the glass so far even though another set I recently purchased cracked quickly and cost considerably more than this set. The sizes fit my needs quite well and make storage a snap. Un-storage is also easy even though the tops want to stay on the container. After a little struggle it's on to cooking or whatever. I was oh so looking forward to having a glass set that had tops that did not absorb odors and was sadly disappointed. Each top enjoys the bowl's content as much as I do and the only difference is that I can get rid of my odors but the tops cannot. Yesterday, I took the largest top and first placed it in straight bleach for an hour or so. It still smelled like cantaloupe. I washed it off and let it air dry and still smelled the cantaloupe and no bleach. I then placed the top in straight vinegar with identical results. I tried placing the top in water and then added vinegar and baking soda. I obtained the results I wanted: lots of foaming and bubbling but I did not resolve my odor problem. Bottom line: don't store cantaloupe in the containers and for the most part most other odor relieving forms of food. Overall, these are decent storage pieces but I will shop for another set, soon.

They're pretty, but the lids are too small to get a comfortable fit, so it ends up being slightly loose. I wouldn't recommend it for transporting things because the lid could pop off with a just a little jolt, but it still works fine to keep things fresh in the fridge.

These are great bowls, and the lids work well. I put them on the top shelf of my dishwasher and have not had any issues with them not fitting afterwards. My biggest issue is that the set came with a lid missing! Instead of a 10 piece set it was a 9 piece set. I would have given 4 stars if it weren't for the missing lid.

I ordered this item and the Wrought Iron Pot Rack w/Shelf and hooks, wall mounted. (now that they're here, they do look nice together) My kitchen is small and no matter how I try, I have clutter on my counters. I can't believe how quickly they got here! I was so excited when I saw the box on my porch! I just ordered it Wed and it came on Friday.

I'd been looking for something since before Christmas, even ordered a set from another vendor. They were back ordered and after they emailed me about a delay twice I eventually cancelled my order. Now I'm sooo glad I did. Not only are these less expensive but they're really nice looking, basic, sturdy and not too heavy. Considering the weight of my stainless steel pots and lids, that's a good thing.

I think if I'd thought things out, I'd have ordered more hooks right away. Think about everything you'd like to hang.

Haven't hung them yet. I'll have to let you know about the ease of that.

I was a little hesitant to order this Ballerina Jewelry Box as the reviews seemed mixed. I am glad I did. As a matter of fact I ordered an additional one for a future gift.

This jewelry box is absolutely positively beautiful! It is well worth the money! I just wish that I had taken the time and extra money to have it engraved because it would have been that much more beautiful and elegant. The fact that it was a "Lenox" is what drew me to the box in the first place. It looks and feels very expensive. There has been no problem with the ballerina or the music to this date.

It arrives quickly, and is wrapped in a very nice box, and when you open the shipping box it is extremely protected. I almost did not want to open it and mess up the wrapping/shipping.

Highly recommended product!

The local stores only carried cheap cardboard and wooden ones with crazy designs, so this was a great find.

This KR Tools "Heavy Duty Bolt Cutter" is a useful tool and works well for tasks around my property. I choose the 18" version because we needed to cut through some fencing that was just too heavy gauged for even my largest wire-cutters and these went through the thick wire very easily.

These are good quality and cuts softer metals with ease, at least on the steel fencing and 1/4" thick aluminum nails I tried it on.

KR Tools 11436 Review by John Oyler

I needed to cut down 16ft livestock fence panels (soft steel, maybe gauge 3? a little less than 0.25" thick), and the hacksaw just wasn't up to the task. Ordered these bolt cutters, and they made short work of it. Not even so much as a nick in the blades afterwards, after 30 or 40 cuts. The 14" would have done the trick too, I think, but the extra leverage of the 24" version made it a little less tiring. The 36" should be even better, if you're willing to pay the extra. I can recommend these for similar work and feel good that I've not given anyone bad advice.

My wife asks why I only give this 4 stars instead of 5, and my answer to her is that 5 stars should be reserved for only the most awesome products imaginable. If I could tell the bolt cutters to go do the work for me and they do it without my help and then bring me my slippers and do the tax return for me (finding some deductions I wouldn't have known about myself), then they'd deserve 5 stars. 4 stars is a compliment in my opinion.

Samsung ML-2855ND Review by Al "oldbot" (Maryland)

This printer has been here for about a month, so this review is about performance "out of the box". I looked all over the internet for a good small laser printer. The reviews were for the ML-2851ND. That printer seems to have been replaced with this one. I took the chance, hoping that the latest model was at least as good. So far, it has exceeded my expectations.

This printer can print on both sides of the paper. For some reason, the industry calls this "duplex printing". This feature works great, and is a paper-saver. It is also fun to watch.

The only negative is the amount of power it uses when it is idle. It's not as Green as I would have expected. This is not a big problem, because this printer comes ready within 30 seconds of power-on. Just power it down when you are not using it. (I use the USB port to a single computer. This may not be convenient in a multi-user, networked environment.)

This printer is compact and powerful. It would be a great b/w laser for a small workgroup. Bottom line - This is a great printer that you will enjoy. I'm hoping it will be as functional and reliable a year from now.


Samsung ML-2855ND Review by Karl S., OD

Replaced my USB HP 1300 with this printer. It is on a mixed mac and Windows XP network. Extremely easy to setup. Plug into ethernet port and Bonjour instantly recognized and set up on mac via Printer system preferences, Install disc adds nice features on the mac such as IP address, toner level etc., very convenient. Also very easy to add to windows XP machines . Samsung did a great job of adding features that are Mac OS X compatible. Very solid construction, with convenient 50 tray auxiliary paper path, also designed for more heavy usage compared to ML2851. Only complaint is it seems to take a second or two longer to print the first sheet, and toner is not readily available at local office megastore.

Update: After 1 week in office first page out deemed too slow, returned and purchased HP P2055ND, It seems much quicker to print the first page, which is important in my setting, where we print single sheet walk out statements/receipts. The HP is more costly, but has gigbit networking. The samsung has better on screen support and info than the HP when installed on a mac. I would reduce the Samsung to 3.5 stars

I bought this printer to produce multi copies for teaching purposes. It is quick,quiet and produces clear crisp copies. Make sure that you have purchased an additional toner cartridge if you need to do lots of printing. The included starter cartridge prints maybe 1,000-1,500 copies. After more than a couple decades of building PC's (dating back to the 8086/8088 clone days), I long ago became a firm believer in quality PSUs. With modern CPU, motherboard, and videocard power requirements, gone are the days when you could get away with any old generic PSU that came free with a case. Now I tend to pay as much or more for PSUs as I do those other components. And even quality PSUs can get overloaded or otherwise fail. To wit, my 750W Silencer Quad, which apparently overloaded and melted down the +12v pins on the ATX mobo connector. Fortunately, it didn't fry the mobo and actually continued working as long as I kept the melted plastic cleaned away and the exposed metal socket halves squeezed together to maintain electrical contact. Obviously that wasn't practical in the long term, so I ordered this beefier model to replace it before I RMA'd the 750W. I already have the replacement RMA and will use it in a secondary box. RMA service and responsiveness was excellent, with the replacement shipped out the day after they received the original.

The 950W is as quiet as the 750W was, and has the extra headroom to hopefully avoid overloading it again. For the record, this PC has an i7-860 overclocked to 3.4Ghz, 8GB of DDR3, two Nvidia videocards (GTX-275 + 8800GTS G92 for PhysX processing) driving 3 large LCD monitors, 1 SSD + 3 mechanical HDDs, 5x 120mm case fans, and about a million various things hanging off the USB ports.

What I love about PCP&C is that, unlike many PSU manufacturers, they actually *understate* their PSU capacity. This 950W Silencer MkII is actually rated at 1000W continuous and 1080W peak. With a 98% power factor and 88% efficiency, a single monster 83A 12v rail (don't fall for the multi-rail hype, it's a gimmick to make you think it's "better" but it's not), non-modular cables (modular cables are another gimmick that can result in power loss and inefficiency), and plenty of connectors, it's a very well designed, high-quality power supply that is a bargain at this price. Highly recommended for PC enthusiasts!

Love the Medela Symphony. The pump is much smoother than the other more economical options I was able to test. Once you start off with the Symphony, it's near impossible to change. It was really painful purchasing this pump because it is soooo expensive, but since I am not able to breast feed, I need to be kind to myself with the pumping.

I bought this as a spare remote for my Directed Electronics Python car alarm (I don't have remote start installed) installed back in 2008. This Viper remote looks very similar to my Python remote (other than the different names stamped on the top, the other obvious difference is that my Python remote is black while the Viper is dark blue). Both are Model 7701V and my local installer got the Viper to accept the programming. So make sure that the back of your remote has Model 7701V stamped on it.

Note: If you have two remotes and if the remote that you are not using is in range, it takes about 20 seconds for it to receive the lock/unlock status from the car.


Update April 9, 2011. After almost three years of use, one side of the plastic belt clip hinge broke. I contacted Directed and they sent me a replacement at no charge.

That is customer service!
